I talked to a buddy of mine yesterday and he put his 1988 Liberator 201 on craigslist. It needs some tlc. He said the starter is bad, the windshield is broken from the weight and snow on the cover and needs new carpet on the inside. He said that he would let it go for around 3500.00 but I bet 3000.00 for the boat and trailer would take it. It would make someone a nice little project boat. here is the link.

I think a 241 with 420hp + a Bravo III would run pretty nice...

Cheers,

I always thought that once you're pushing that kind of power the only way to go is a bravo I?

Does that 201 have the king cobra out drive or does it just have the cobra out drive?

My PQ had the BIII. Holeshot and mid-range were great. Felt like I had a ton of traction compared to single prop set ups. ALOT of faster boats had a real hard time making up the distance I would gain from slow or stop.

clicked on the link and it said posting deleted by author . did it sell already?

yeah you can have your choice now, but from 88 to around 2001 it was OMC or nothing.... the Volvo sx drive is suppose to bolt right up to the cobra and can hold some hp. If you are looking to add power you have to go with a new drive, the cobra drive is junk king is good but the cobra is over powered from the factory.
