can Anyone recomend a great engine machine shop in the new york tri state area who specializes in building perfomance boat engines and has a dyno? i potentially may have two BBC 454's then will need some tlc. i want them done right and dynoe'd. i'm in southern ny, but don't mind driving for the right shop. thanks!

Another vote for cubicinches. He worked with me on an older head casting number (then allowed me to return it when my local machine shop was too incompetent to know if it was the correct CC of not).

Cubicinches is the man!! He can help you out with all that you need. He is located in Central New York, but is totally worth the drive. He has done a ton of work on some wild stuff up this way with very good results and alot of happy customers. Hope all works out for ya.

fonse in NJ did my 540s and they seem to be holding up well. bought the boat from the guy that had them done there and i had them do the heads after a parts failure and they treated me REALLY good even though it wasnt there fault. they looked at it like it was THERE motor and hooked me up......at least i feel they did.

Tim Zepp Engines in New Jersery did my machine work. I did the assembly and then went on his dyno. He custom bult the carb.

he's done some outstanding pump gas setups for
his last one he did for a friend of mine 400 inch sbc with 23 degree head runs on regular out of the pump 93 ocatand made over 670hp with single carb
he is great with any type of setup but really has a handle on the pump gas stuff

One other option may be Jim Thomas, Thomas racing engines. He works out of Kolorcraft in syracuse NY. He just rebuild my 525sc over the winter, his shop looks like an operating room its so clean. Very honest, reasonable, awesome work. Hes also the engine builder for the Aquamania race team.
