NYC is not CNY, or NYS for that matter. Yes it is next to impossible to get a permit in the big city, and even tho you have a permit to carry in NYS you cannot carry in the city (one more reason for me to never go there).
I agree with the ammo statement, yes it is getting harder, and harder, and more expensive to buy. And with the manufactured experation, and fingerprinting of ammo is just causing folks to stock up, or reload their own.
I just cannot see some one coming to my door demanding to hand over my hunting, and sporting guns. I agree they may try, but they will have a hard time finding volonteers to enforce it. I am friends with several law enforcement officers, and have had this conversation with them. They all said, they'd quit their jobs, because it would not be worth it to them to get the guns bullets first. It would have to be a total police state, and the suits in washington will not be on the front lines, and our soldiers are going to shoot civilians just to take thier guns? Unlikely, but not impossible, just as hell could freeze over.
Your creating a worry that does not exist at this time, and this is not a political forum/website. If folks wanna see the websites you posted, they can search for them, this thread has gotten WAY off course. Guess I gotta get some pics to post of my unregistered Browning A-bolt (which is 100% legal in NYS). If nothing else have some pics, for insurance reasons, if my house was to burn, I have proof of the firearms, and get reimburssed for them.
