sounds like he over promisses, there are alot of places like that, what would tick me of was the comment about having other boats worth more money,, then dont take my work

( never go with the low bid they will take as many short cuts as they can to make a profit on the job)

I'm glad to hear that mpejsa is going to give 1500 one more chance to hold up to his word, i'm sure it will work out for you this time around, sometimes you have to get a little loud to get someones attention

well i figure i owe it to the integrity of the board -- if multiple people think i should give him another shot -- i will do just that -- i will also gladly post that the motor is perfect and runs great -- and that robert horne took care of me in the end.

It's stories like this that allow Merc to charge the prices they do - if it comes with black or blue paint and a spiffy Merc warranty, the price goes up.

One other thought - I don't think I'd buy motors or have work done at a place that was not pretty damn close to my home. Bat-carrying distance, if you know what I mean. Look at the poor SOBs that are getting screwed on the Hawk Power deal - lots of them are halfway across the country.

We're lucky enough to have a couple of good engine sources here in Michigan, not to mention one of the premier graphics shops. :)

I agree keep it close to home if you can. Although I have had issues in Michigan in the past as well.

Research and Go to the shop talk to past clients, if the price is too cheap, compared to other shops, there probably is a problem.

I am not saying that mpejsa did not do these things, just repeating for the good of the board.

Hey mpejsa use your best judgement on this, after all it was your money that was spent, I would hate to tell you to give him another chance and something bad happen, I do hope it works out for you, I think it sounds like he will work with you on this, but it needs to be done with in a short time frame

Problem HANDLED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WAS A SMALL PROBLEM AND MARK HAS POSTED ON OSO THE RESULTS ROBERT (BLOWN1500) STOOD BEHIND HIS WORK 100% AND MARK IS A HAPPY CAMPER SO REMEMBER ,,THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY AND DON'T JUMP ON PEOPLE UNTIL YOU ,YOU KNOW THE SIDES ....... AND WORK TOGETHER AS MARK AND ROBERT DID ,THESE FORUMS SHOULD BE FOR HELP AND NOT OLD LADY TYPE GOSSIP ;) ;) ;) ;)
