The tide blew out and due to the keel on this boat it really rolls to one side when on bottom. I am guessing as the tide came in slowly the water went over the gunnel before it floated. I have also heard the boats may have a tendency to freeze to bottom in cases like this also possible causing the same result. Really a bummer to see :(

Look at the picture with the boat that sunk. It appears to me that there was an "Ice Eater" at work there. The boats in the picture were in water free of ice.
Boat left in water, Battery goes dead, rain and snow fill bilge, scupper in stern goes below water line, bilge pump won't work, boat sinks..:(

MY 2¢

You forgot this part Jake........

Owner collects agreed coverage insurance money in a greater amount than he can sell the boat! :bandit:

WOW.. Where did all the water go Ken??
The Sacandaga stayed above average all summer do to all the rain we had.

RJ all that water came to the eastern end of lake erie and raised our water level 7 ft, when we get a severe west wind that happens, that was then worst in 50 years or something like that according to the weather, just picture lake erie as a giant bathtub

Yea- What 89 said!

The water all comes back when the wind stops!
I can't believe the wind would have that much effect on a lake that size.
WOW..
