Oneida Lake is safe. There are shallows that are marked, but they are shore line shallows.
They have a nice channel, 42 miles ish long and that lake can get snotty!!

We might make a few trips up this year if the boat isnt gone by then.
always thought there was crazy spots in the middle somewhere maybe I'm thinking of something differant, let m eknow if you hit it, you seem to know it and its always nice to meet a fellow speedwaker

Oneida Lake isn't a very deep lake to stat with, I think the deepest spot is only 50 something feet. There are a bunch of shoals to look out for, but they are clearly marked out. As for getting snotty, uhhh, YEP! The lake can kick up a couple notches in no time. Actually I was out last night after work (first run of the season) and when I went out it was pretty calm, maybe 1-2's. A couple hours later coming back it was about 3's and the occasional 4 footer. It can get a little tricky out there, especially when they come across diagonal to you. It's a fun lake though, with a few great party spots! Feel fre to get ahold of me if and when you'd like to come out!!

1995 28' Mannerfelt (Swedish) Batboat. Parked since 2003, it has been a work-in-progress for over a year now. Should be finished next weekend.
