Okay, I answered the question myself.............

BOUGHT A BOAT TONIGHT!

It's not what most would consider a "performance" boat. Never thought I would come full circle back to our first make and model ever owned. Picking it up Sunday, as long as the chop is less than 9-12" I will be fine.:D:eek:

Looks a lot like this, ignore the price they must have been smoking the good schit......

I'm may just be confined to the back side of the Bohemia again! (and weeknights on the Susquehanna). May not seem like it, but these little boats can be a lot of fun. I can drop it in in a few minutes, buzz around a while and trailer it back home with very little stress and fuss. It equates to a tiny fraction of the cleaning and responsibility our last boat was. I was a nervous wreck most of the time, not now that I am back in a beater!!!

Plus, it's total cost are around half of what we "invested" in ours last winter. Another way of putting it would be, I lost three times the amount of the COST of this boat on the old one.... Ugh, that is ugly to admit in public.

Congratulations on the ski boat PJ. There are a few Mastercrafts running around Middle River. I see them out at Hart-Miller often so they must do reasonable in the chop.

It's all Timbertech brand, "Twin Finish" decking in Cedar. The rails are RadianceRail, the best product offered in my opinion. It's sleek, absolutely NO exposed fasteners and beefy looking and feeling. There are a hundred companies out there now selling composites, most of the handrails are flimsy and cheap looking IMO.
Agreed! I put the same decking down a year ago and I love it. The railing kits are great to work with.

Your deck looks great!

Anyone ever coated their decks?
Not paint or stain, kinda like bedliner stuff?
There is a company near me called GatorTech that did a neighbors. Cool stuff but PRICEY!
Been trying to find a product that doesn't need a $16,000 application machine.
I have found a couple rubberized types and a cement base, but cannot find any real reviews or customer results...I got 400-500 square feet that I would like to cover and replace railing for update.
Appreciate any ideas or leads, Thanks

My first concern is how hot will the deck be with a coating that would essentially make your deck a solid surface, like the bed-liner you referenced.

I have been on decks that have Trex and the other synthetic forms of decking and found them to be very hot from the sun striking them during the day. Even after the sun goes down, the deck holds the heat well into the night. I suppose the heat would not be a factor if your deck is on the north side of your house! :p:

Me too, I'm thinking Id be divorced if I tried to bring it home. It's going to make a nice project for somebody for sure. If it was a 95 it would have been scooped up by now.

That better be red gel below the water line.   Paint would not stay there.

Isn't that "Nick" name the same one that was selling another damaged boat?
