I have 1996 Scarab 22 that has a POS Quicksilver 3000 side mount control. It has broke for the last time. I have ordered the livorsi side mount control to replace it with but it doesn't have a trailer trim button. I have a trim gauge and i am used to not over trimming my lower unit. Does anyone know what I will need to rewire or has anyone done this before. I have no wiring schematic so I'm not sure what wire goes to what. I guess the main question is can it be done?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Why not just add a switch for the trailer function?
Since it's a merc the wiring diagrams are available on the internet. They all used the same color wire for the trim/trailor switches

Just connect the 2 wires going to the trim limit sender (not the gauge sender) at the transom assembly together, bypassing the sender itself. This will always show a complete circut, as far as the switches are concerned.

BTW, the limit sender wires have male ends on both leads, the gauge sender has M/F ends.
