Well I hope the deal I got wasn't for a reason. My brother inlaw picked it up for me and said it ran and worked a shop light, basically a quick test. When I picked it up today he showed me how to start it and it ran with a bit of a miss, I figured because it was cold out. When I got it home I let it run for awhile and it still had a slight miss to it. I checked the oil and it was way over filled, I'm thinking some jack a$$ filled it at an angle instead of level, would over filling the oil affect the way it ran? I let it pour out til it was at its full point and then fired it back up. It seem to run better but still misses every few seconds. I put new gas in it when I got it home along with what ever gas was in it, the salesmen did say it sat for 3 months. I'm thinking of changing the spark plug and if it still acts up I'm shipping it back, thank god there's a 60 day return policy.

With all the praises Honda's get its just my luck this one acts up.:(

Sounds like you are on the right track.
If it sat for quite a while (maybe longer than 3 months) you may want or need to look into/clean the carb.
Getting the extra oil out and fresh gas sound like the best plan.
Maybe add some carb cleaner with the fresh gas. Small engines are pretty touchy with the crappy ethanol enhanced fuel. Hopefully the new plug and fresh gas will get it to 100%.

Congrats on yours.
You don't see deals that cheap ever.

Ran through some more of the YouTube vids...
The Harbor Freight cheapies sound like some REAL noisey rattle cans.
Even though their only $80, I'd have to pass...

And I am CHEAP !!!

Yeah I almost went that route but couldn't do it, and this was the best deal I'd seen in a LONG time...I'm sure it's not as good as the Honda, but hell for that price I could't pass it up, even though it wasn't a real good time...

I ALWAYS START MY GENERATOR the first of the month let it run for a couple of minutes, then shut off the gas and let it stall. Been 7 years,so I guess it works!!
Do the Hondas have a fuel shutoff switch. If so I can't find one on my eu2000. That would be nice to do instead of leaving today's crappy gas sit in the carb.

Lots of things, camping, boating, etc. I don't need to kick an AC unit though. I already had a larger generator, but it sucked to lug around -- this will be perfect for my needs...probably to small for you though. Thought it was worth posting ONLY because of the price. My house can "plug in" to a generator as well I can just add this what I already had too, it was perfect.
