New to the forum and need info. I have a fully Restored, Custom 1986 22' Sea Ray Pachanga. 350 Small Block, Merc outdrive. I'm searching for the best 2 or 3 Props for this boat combination. Any help or advise directing me would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome. That's kind of a loaded question. How does the boat run now, and what do you want to change about it? Do you know what the boat came with? What RPM do you run now at wide open throttle, and what is your speed? YOu looking for more top end or better take off? Hopefully some one with a boat like yours will respond because different boats respond different to different prop brands even if the pith and diameter are the same.

Thank you. I just bought the boat, it's been fully restored professionaly. It currently has a 23P LazerII on it and it runs well. I'm just wanting to find a few props that are known to run well on these boats and test from there. I have been told to try the cleavers, but I have also been told the newer props are better? I dont want to test 10 props so I'm looking for suggustions. I really appreciate the info and have enjoyed the site so far. Thanks again.

Clevers are pretty old school technology and yep there are better fits for your boat.
Does the 23 work good now?
I had a 21 Laser II on a lighter 350 boat and it did real good top end for me, but was really too big and had a hard time getting on plane and mid range suffered.
Do you run the plugs in or out of the Laser?
I have seen 4 blades on a few nicer redone Pachnagas. You may look into a Bravo prop for it.
DO you know if your outdrive is a 1.5 ratio? Guessing it is. Alpha correct?
My real generic guess would be a 21 pitch Bravo 4 blade for you, but there are a few Pachanga owners here that will be better suited to help and I am sure that they will come along.
Good Luck, Enjoy the Pachanga-post some pics!!

Thank you for the input. Yes I really Love this boat. It's a real head turner, and runs great. It was totally custom restored 7 years ago and is in flawless condition. I'm a Fishing Pro shop owner and competitve fisherman, and new to pleasure boating, but our youngest son (20) talked me into buying the boat from a friend of ours and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Yes the 23P Lazer works well, runs about 66-67 WOT Has good hole shot and pretty good top end. I'm going to buy a GM Performance Motor and have it ready if needed. I beleive it's a GM 383 Stroker 425HP. I have a friend who is a parts manager at our local Chevy Dealer. Here are a few pics. Thanks P.S I run Lazer with plus out. And I like the looks of the cleavers but have been told they are old school and there are better props, new technology. Thanks again.

Chap yes it's a Alpha 1 Outdrive, I have another friend who has a Pachanga with a big block 454 and he is Running a 21P Mercury 4 Blade and it does very well also. I dont know what it is but I really like the Pachanga Boats. They perform well, look great and are a pleasure to run. I've only owned this boat for a couple of weeks, but it has given many hours of maint. free enjoyment to the previous owner. I have got a ton of compliments and cant tell you how many people that have tried to buy it. LOL. It's a huge difference from my fishing rig. But I'm really starting to enjoy these pleasure boats, Thanks Son. P.S Only reason I'm asking abouts props, we are planning on participating in a Poker run and I want to be up to speed. Thanks again.

Thank you Liberator221 I'm very proud of it. The Custom Eagle Trailer is custom powder coated to match the Custom Paint on the boat as well. I dont have a picture of the Motor compartment, but it looks as if the boat just came off the show room new. It's so clean you can eat off it. It truly is a one of a kind boat. Plus it runs as well as it looks. I'm just wanting to maximize the performance by putting the very best prop on it. Thanks again, Glad you like it.

Wow
Quite the graphics.
Vinyl wrap or painted?
Congrats on your enjoying the boat:)
Sounds like you are doing really well with your prop already.
I don't know if you will be able to improve a whole lot according to your numbers/speeds.
