I like either those or a fiberglass one.
My last deck boat had a huge fiberglass one.
It was surprising how much time we spent "backwards".
The rear flip flop laydown seat helped, but I bet your sun pad will get a lot of seat use with feet hanging on the platform.
Son wakeboards, so something like that is real important..
Getting in and out w/o a platform and a board on is rough.
Kid and his friends are bigger than I am now, so lifting them in and out is a chore.

Good point taken, Its a BITCH climbing in and out of this boat... my knees are bruised consistently along with others who come out. So thats the number one reason for getting one. Hell the wife is on board for letting me buy something for the boat that costs $$$ so I gotta take what I can get.

Another reason is it will just really update the boat... I think when comes down to selling her it will be more eye catching. People want that big platform on the back of the boat.

Glad to find some information about the Power Play XLT 185's. I live in S.E. Michigan and have been looking for a good boat that would handle Lake Erie and St. Clair but also be small enough to take on some of the inland lakes. I have been reading a lot of the previous posts about the history of the XLT hull design and is sounds like a fast, well built boat, that can still accommodate watersports. I came across one for sale in the area and I'm going to buy it. I was told it came out of Minn. and was brought back to Michigan a few years ago. Interior is mostly original and in decent shape. The original outdrive had been hit and replaced with an low hour used Alpha 1. The motor looks clean and everything seems solid. Anything else that I should be looking for when buying one of these? Looking forward to getting it home and on the water next summer.

I believe it is a 1986 and it looks very much stock. Hull number is PPN10086N586.

What's the best way to tell if any of the wood has gotten wet, I've heard of knocking around with a rubber mallet? The rear around the motor and transom looks very clean and dry.

Still got mine but is for sale: 1988 Integra (extremely rare open-bow XLT model) re-powered w/350 in 2014 w/ Captains choice Mercury Racing thru-hull exhaust. 88's were only model to seats 8 comfortably with two seats aft (went to large engine compartment in 89+). A 3 holiday boat - Men Day, July 4th, Labor Day. God's honest truth motor has 30 hours on it (no meter but it sits inside a heated garage in my rental property, never left in water). No show queen - she's 33 yrs strong with a few stress cracks and bits here and there but fully functional for big lake / waterski use. Painted dark blue Chris craft scheme in 2014, includes original Powerplay trailer with newer bunk boards/carpet plus brand new color matched seats in box and original teak swim platform included. Turns heads when exhaust is open! Use it and love it or a perfect full restoration candidate that isn't a basket case. $6690 in Saugatuck, MI
