well sorry to take the woman's side but having more cockpit space is always a plus in my book.
I like baja's too, but personaly I'm tired of seeing them, unfortunately they've become so popular around me they are beginning to label their owners like bayliner and sea ray have. not trying to start anything, just stating an opinion.
I think with the right setup you could get 70 mph

this guy supposedly got 70mph out of his 26' excaliber with a 500EFI, if anything else its sounds pretty good

How do I verify whether or not its the magnum? I'd assume it'd say it across the top of the engine, but it does not... just 7.4 MPI. Does that mean it is not?

Owner said it's 375 HP, which doesn't match anything anyone has said...

my 96 7.4L is rated at 300 HP at the prop. I think its 315 at the flywheel.

With a B3 is see about 60mph tops.

I would say that if you are looking at the Excalibur you want the 26. The 26 Excalibur is more performance with the 24 degree hull. Oh and it can do 70+

Is it a magnum (365 HP) or 330 HP?? I know they were available with 502's.... With the weight and deadrise, I doubt it does over 65 with a stock 454. I've seen 23' wellcraft nova's run 60 MPH with stock 454 mag's and they are a few hundred pounds heavier than this boat.

Nice looking boat...I'd take a wellcraft over a Baja any day!

56 out of our 2000 wellcraft 23 excalibur 7.4mpi bone stock 21pitch prop 680 hours and if you took the drive shower of probably 57 but thats with 2 people in there and cooler we where half tank and weve tried a 23 pitch it dont push it but a 22p 3 blade or 24 -23 4 blade is probably good elevation 945 very reliable to its 1000PERCENT better made then a baja if you go in cabins you have subwoofewrs both sides speakers front back and rides better id say but look at the wellcraft to baja the baja sits lower rides rougher the excalibur is nice deep smooth and it chases down bravo 3s not out the hole but we sure do catch them 30-40mph range
