Well finally I get around to posting my pictures to the trip I took down to Fort Lauderdale and Bimini.

Quite a trip, spent the first couple of days playing around Fort Lauderdale to Miami on the Ocean and thru the intercoastal. Spent the last 2 days going to Bimini in the Bahamas.

What an adventure, when they say 3-5's on the Ocean it seems much bigger than our 3-5's on the Great Lakes. We crossed the Gulf Stream, told it was 5 miles wide, but it was 28 miles of snot. Some of the waves were higher than my head when I looked out at the horizon and I ate a ton of salt water from spraying over the boat. Needless to say, that 51 mile trip across the ocean was an experience in itself. I didn't take any pictures in the Gulf Stream because it was hang on and take the water in the face almost the whole way. Did good, only stuffed the bow once about 25 miles offshore, I think that was the peak of the worst seas. Amazing how quick the seas change when you cross out of the Gulf Stream, water went flat the last 12 miles with maybe 1- 1/2 foot chop, nice 70+ mph run to end the ride.

First photo is a shot of Fort Lauderdale.
