welcome to an unstable economy and high gas prices.

I used to sell used jeep parts faster then I could keep up with them, I haven't sold a single part since early may.
I have a buddy who sells boats. He is having the worst year since he purchased his marina......OVER $400,000.00 DOWN from last year!!!!! Last year he sold over 50, this year to date......2 (two). No consumer confidence at all. Maybe, Congress will make some changes when enough business shut down.
F$^Kin' Ba$tards.
One of the older dealers near me have 51 left over 2007 boats in their inventory as of this past weekend.

He sells Bayliner and Four Winns, most of the 51 boats shown on his web site are Bayliner Trophy.

It seems it is the lower end boats where sales have dried up the most.
Crap then there should be a dealer out there that will give me a smokin deal on a bigger boat

I checked out their site to see what they had. Wasn't a whole lot on there. Thanks for the info. I had the number and John, now I have his last name. Thanks again

When I bought my 33SS they didn't show having any of them in stock, they had 3!

John told me the web site is hardly ever updated!

If you want a Formula at a price you won't beat, call him and let him know what you're looking for.

John's a straight shooter and wont jerk you around.
Over here in sunshine NH, sales have been down for us. Started out good selling a few used boats that we took in last fall, but new boats not even much interest. We odered extra pontoon boats this year, and have sold one. Usually by now we have sold several boats. We mainly deal with 18 to 22 ft boats (primary Sea Ray). Marinas and docks seem to be full on the lake, but not to many boats moving on water, see a lot more people floating or anchored. We still have several boats in storage that are usually in the water by now. We keep hearing it will change over the next couple of weeks as schools get out, but we will see.
we did at first then we got more aggressive with pricing and promotions and have increased sales over last year.
My sales (Home theater, plasmas, audio gear, etc) is way down in May and this month.
Jan - April, sales were good and we had a increase over last year.
Right now it sux.
Our RV business was up 8.50% through April. May was flat and so far in June we are dead!

Talked with some old friends in the securities business this morning. They are scared for a verity of reasons, business if way off and the regulators have them in their sights again!
but wait.......the stimulas checks will save the day ;) :laugher:

A great business to be in these day's is Liquor. I have a buddy who has been a salesman for about 30 years. He tells me he's breaking records every week!! People Drink when their Happy and Drink when their sad.
You guys should jump into the car business we`re tearin it up over here. Everybodys puttin up their big trucks and buying cheap used cars. I hate gas prices too more so when fillin up the Libby but since the price increase my sales have been slammin :D

Ya those stimulas checks work perfect for down payments :a7:

I have a 7 year old projection TV and would like to purchase a new plasma, but that money has gone into the gas tank, a sad truth, but as long as gas prices are this high then I cannot buy any luxury items.
The industry overall is taking a beating because of gas price's and economics , from manufacturing , to lack of orders , right down to the marinas in sales and repair ! :unhappy1:
Who knows when this SH*T storm will end, all we can do is hang on and try to wait it out :angry1:
Slow but steady!

Yes I noticed a great year until the end of April or Middle of May... Then as the weather got nicer the calls and emails showing some interest has been way down compared to the past 6 seasons...

Still selling some used units but not for the same return as I use to get also the main interest is from Canada on used Pwc's..
