I didn't think you could get an SS with bolsters?
I have. I dont see any on boat trader or ebay unless its really old 86 and older.
Oh man, too bad all our money is going to the wedding. 5 weeks from today...I can't wait until it's over.
I hear ya on that one. our wedding is running me about 20K. I think about what i could buy with 20K cash!!

I got one more week of freedom.

PS I was discussing a Formula with the GF yesterday and she wants bolsters. She wants the "sporty look"

I wasn't looking for either in particular and ended up with bolsters. In retrospect, I am glad I did. 89 Donzi spent ages trying to find one with bolsters. They seem to be hard to find. Is there a reason you want an SS over and LS?

seen one listed in syracuse for 10k
I'm going to sell my 242SS after I finish stroking this engine.
It doesn't have bolsters or the sun pad. The sun pad got burned up in the sun and the former owner removed it and installed another captains chair. Now it is two captains chairs and LOTS of floor space since the sun lounge is gone.

You would have to want to go fast to buy mine. It should not have any problem with 70mph when it is ready to sell.  :rambo:
I like the look of bolsters better, and even though you can adjust the pedestal buckets on my 242, I'd still like to sit higher.

That said, I like the Formula bucket seats themselves...they are very secure and comfortable. I am actually thinking about re-mounting them on a bolster-style base; I'm sure I can find something to adapt or even have something custom-made.
