Is anyone running a Baja H2X ? Would like an opinion on one.
I usually only run Checkmates, but there is no longer a dealer anywhere near me.
I'm going to look at a 1998 Baja H2X Boss that is at a dealer 90 minutes from me. It has a 454 mag with Capt Call exhaust, full snap-on cover, Fire Ext System, full gauge pkg, trailer, and other accessories. Am told condition is excellant and low hours. Asking price is $38,000.
Any specifics on what to look for on a used Baja ? Thanks!

The H2X is a great boat they handle and respond really well. This is the same set up that I’m running currently (2001 H2X Boss) I don't think that they have made any changes.

The H2X is a great all around boat, the only downside is that uit does not have stand up bolsters (personal preference) As far as what to look for in a used Baja, I would jusyt make sure that the previous owner took care of it. Baja's dont have many problems with craftsmanship as their gel work, fibergalass, rigging and electronics are installed as if they were a handmade boat with care, even though we all know that they are production boats.

That was actually one thing that I really like about it !
Going over tomorrow to give it the once over, hopefully the rain holds off.

talk to Jeff or AJ while you are there. Call ahead and ask them to put it in the water for a test drive. I am sure they will if not to busy. These guys are great people and know what they are doing. Look at the x demension. it could be raised alittle which is a good thing. (Jeff and Aj like the x raised alittle.) their boats are well worth the money I just bought jeffs old 240 baja and a buddy has a hawkeye boat also. You wont be disapointed.

Yep, have done business there before, great place !
Wife did not care for the h2x, but there was a couple other new Bajas she liked, but not the price ! Oh well...
Did find a very nice Checkmate (not at Hawkeye though). 21ft, with 200 OB.
Thinking of bringing it home if I can figure out where to put it.

Had a buddy get a 272 Baja new from Hawkeye and they butched his pro-charger. It threw belts for two years. Complete nightmare!

38000 is a little high for a 98 model, hell i will sell you my 2000 h2x with a 454mag{385hp}
for that price, but if it is real clean low hours and has a extended warranty, with a good trailer, thats not bad then, good luck, and i love my h2x, want to trade up for 29 outlaw though
