I always fuel on land, and I don't ever turn my blower on. Are you supposed too? It makes sense while fueling on the water but on land?

I have always turned them on right after I remove the cockpit cover.... That is about 2 to 5 minutes before I start the the boat.
I'm not sure if thats right, but it's a habit I'm in.

I run the blower while fueling.

I always run the blower any time I am not on plane.

I have a habit of turning on the blower just before coming off plane.

If you ever see a boat catch on fire from gas fumes in the bilge or a boat explode from fumes you will remember to use the blower.

I have a friend who opens his hatch when starting his boat. Opening the hatch dosen't help as gas fumes are heavy and will still be able to explode under the right conditions.
