Anybody knows what's the camshaft specs for the MX 6.2 or MX 6.2 Horizon ? Is it merc's own cam or crane/lunati ? I assume lift would be around 450 ish ? Merc's site has good info but not on the cam . Top secret

I don't know it but someone with a 6.2 should be able to find out for the advertised duration at .050 and lift are usually in the engine owner's handbook.
CFM ,thanks for the reply . I searched the net all over
the world .No info on this special profiled roller
camshaft ,owners manual included . Maybe I just
take one of the engines apart, and measure the damn
thing.
Bob , the lift on the cam spec you sent me indicates
1.5 rocker ratio. Merc's 5.7 has a 1.6 .Do you know what is
the rocker ratio on the 6.2 ? I'll pick some brains at the
upcoming boatshow here.
Wasn't Lingenfelter the designer for the Scorpion? Or was it just the intake? Actually, if he designed the inake then he must have had say for the cam as well.
Scott,
The Scorpion cam is a Crane piece. I don't know if John did the cam, but if he did, Mercruiser is the benefactor of a great engine man. He is missed.
Bob
Bob I have the 6.2 MX not the scorpion. Just wonder
how much diff on the two camshafts.I know the mx has
hypereutectic pistons [prefer forged] . The scorpion
was a better engine ,but way more money for only a
few more horses. The link you sent me states crane
cam . Is it for sure ? Boating magazine had a good
write up on the mx ,but no specs for the cam
either :
I know that this is an ancient thread but there is 0 info out there about this cam.
I have one marked 6492 on the end that was pulled from a 2008 350 Mag MPI engine. It measures .450 (maybe .452) intake and .465 exhaust @1.5. Lobes measured .3 and .31
2 people at Crane told me that they did not grind this cam and said there would be more numbers on it if they did.
