SO what are you guys doing to it????? It's a couple month old car at best.......looks like the warranty is gone!! :)

BTW: CAI and tune on my Charger SRT8 ran a 12.9 @ 110 the only time it ever went down the track!!!
I think this is the first challenger gettin a lotta mods cause it came straight from Kooks where they test fitted longtubes headers off of a charger and they fit perfect. Now just doin heads, cam, intake, 90mm throttle body, exhaust, sway bars and a tune.
owner is debating a nitrous kit, but Im tryin to talkem out of it, we're gettin good power out of the 426 strokers and the reliability is way better. Tired of gettin those see thru blocks or pistons missin chunks off the top from lean tunes!
All those mods AND stroking to a 426???? Let me know what the finished product makes on the dyno.....CAI, 180 T-stat and a custom tuned (Predator) I made 393 hp and 400 tq. Just can't bring myself to go deeper into the motor.
What hit nitrous are you seeing problems? I was under the impression up to a 100 shot they would live fine.
they usually squirtem with 150, this ones not gettin stroked...hehe....just all the other stuff. They usually dyno right around the 500 mark to the wheels.
I would guess your mods would hit the 500 mark (I'm at nearly 400 to the wheels). I've heard the 6.1 can handle 100 and maybe the 125 shot if you pull timing.....anything over is a time bomb. Seems your shop can confirm that huh?
yup well confirmed! some even tried the msd boost a pump, which doesnt do anything for a variable fuel pump. You should see the crap that comes in...wires hangin everywhere arcing on everything, theyll sell tools to anyone I guess, pretty funny!
Happy Home Owner installs huh? I'm too damn picky......I considered a ZEX kit and a 100 shot but only if I could find a way to hid the equipment well...I even wanted to hide the remote bottle switch/etc in the console somewhere. Never figured out where and decided I was better off without it anyway.

I've had the car 4 months now...waxed the entire car twice, waxed the front surfaces where bugs hit it twice more in-between. The car has been washed at LEAST once a week since the day I picked it up.
lotta guys using the overhead sunglass compartment for a switch panel. But yeah pretty much impossible to hide EVERYTHING.I think we just gotta zex kit in ill have to check I dunno if its for a customer or not.
I need to just leave this thing alone....it's leased and gets turned back in after a few years.....(and a company car at that!!!)
I haven`t even seen a new Challenger yet and here you are tearing one apart . . . :confused1
I see them going down the highway everyday from a plant north of Toronto.... I had a 72 and they did a pretty good job appearance wise with the new ones IMO.

That is exactly the kind of work I was doing when I worked with a drag racer here in Atl. Used to be affraid of the Nos but after setting up so many cars and working through so many senarios of problems and why the problems happened I build my own sbc specifically for Nos. Now I love the stuff but I know how to use it right.

Most problems come from either improper set up or operator error.

Great stuff though    100 true hp with cast parts is ok but the max. Gotta have forged to get over 100hp. We raced a mountain motor with 3 stages of Nos

Love that mopar muscle too
yeah they did a great job, the 2 doors was long overdue, looks SO much better! I love nitrous too, but these PCMs are very hard to tune every scenario. We fly a guy in from Australia who knows all the binary codes and crap in them to properly tune them.
Someone else with lots more $$ than I got to play with. Looks like a pretty cool project though. I would expect it to be in HOT ROD magazine or somethin' :)
should be! Its all over SRT8 forums I think it ran 13.2 bone stock down to the air filter so should be a good runner. Hopefully he'll upgrade the rear, gonna need a quaiffe diff and some axles to get full benefit of it all.
