The 22 Classic runs well in fairly rough water. The 22 Zx is more of an all out powerboat, and it will fly. There are some very good deals on 22 Zx's out there. I love the 22 Classics, but I just cannot justify the prices they get for them. :eek:

I imagine they handle it as well or better. Btw, that's not me in the picture, it is the previous owner. He said it handles rough water great. I hope to soon find out.

The early 22Zx's were available with big block 454 mags, and 502's. Donzi quit putting them in the 22's because they were too fast, and worried about liability issues. They will flat out fly! The main gripe about the Zx was it had captain chairs instead of bolsters. Some people changed them out to bolsters, which cramped the back seat passengers a bit. Really good looking boats too!
