This past weekend I installed a set of simrek drive showers, I had to make minor adjustments to make them fit right. I drilled 1/8 holes in the pick-up part of the tube and lowered them further in the water, so they would clear below my tie bar. My question is do the prop blades flex or slightly bend when getting on plane or WOT? I have about 1/4 -1/2 inch clearance between the prop and the bottom of the drive shower, I just want to make sure I don't chip a prop or the tube on the shower? I never had showers before and everyone seems to think they are a cheap wise investment.

Aluminum props tend to flatten under a load, stainless do it much less. If you are running stainless you should be fine. But an aluminum can flatten 1/2" or more . Even an aluminum should get "thinner" though so clearance should not be an issue.

I agree with insptech - the blades will flatten out under load if anything and you will gain clearance. How far below the anti-cav plate do the pickups extend? You may need to shorten them.

I have about the same clearance on mine and it's been fine.
My only problem is that I had to drill through 1/2 stainless steel to install mine. I've got a dual ram mayfair steering system on my Sunsation and man o man is stainless steel strong!

looks great !! I was told not to use 90 degree tips because it was to big of a change in direction for the water,,, My Innovative shower has a " curl " at the tip to scoop water whith the drive trimmed,,, I got brave and hung off the back of the boat while on plane,,, it actually look pretty cool,,,, ( very wet and loud to !!!! )
