What a nightmare! I spent almost 4 hours removing the vinyl covered boards to get them re-vinyl'd last night and this morning. Getting at the bolts to the forward area was a disaster. I'm am really not looking forward to putting them back in and truthfully I'm not even sure I can get at the front ones from behind to put the nut back on at all. Sorry for no pics. I'm at the office.

redid mine. i have to agree those bolt are pain in the azz. I took my speaker out on the port side and used the access panel on the starboard side. good luck
Been there , done that and ditto on the port speaker ;)
you should see the mess on a 271
no I didn't have to do it but I did take note for the future
too lazy to remove them myself so I sparay painted them. Looks great. May want to consider that. :winker:
The side panels on my 206LS were a PIA too. The rear seat bolsters were a b*tch also.

Same here-I did them on my 242 when I had it. Pain, but will look nice when complete.
Yeah - you'll have to show me exactly what panels you're talking about...SO I MAKE SURE I NEVER DO THIS.
panels along the gunnels, small uphostered peices

Good call on the speaker. Where were you BEFORE I removed them??  :laugher: I'm seriously concerned how on earth I am going to get the nuts back to reinstall. How did you guys do it?

Mostly by feel getting them started then used a 3/8 drive ratchet with a deep well socket.
yup, just feel around , stretch your arm. i am not sure that there is an easier way.
I was really hoping I missed something. I already tried bending and stretching but I definetly can't reach the two the two front bolts with my hand. I can JUST reach it with a ratchet. I may have to put some glue on the back of the panel at the front of it.

How about some heavy duty velcro? kind of kidding, but kind of serious too.
All those small pieces I eliminated and made one long board to replace them on my SS. For my boat it made a cleaner more modern look. I was targeting the look of an 06 SS.
