Just thought of another question. I installed a new Holley Marine fuel pump and Holley 09022 carb. The carb has three vacuum ports one on the side of the metering block and 2 on the base one larger than the other. Which port should I connect the pump rupture line to?? I am running a K&N Marine flame arrestor so I don't have a place to connect it on the arrestor.

Do not connect the fuel pump 'rupture line' to any vacuum port ! The fuel pump psi spring's tension will be reduced with vaccum and thus less fuel psi !

Do not do it !

I've caught this on a few pics and real life installations over the years. Yes, I let the people know.

Some carbs have vent tubes to connect these lines to. These are placed where vacuum is not present but still make the raw fuel go into carb if pump ruptures. Placement will be well over the throttle bores.

If your carb does not have a vent tube connection then you must place one in the flame arrestor.

I've installed npt to barb fittings in a few K&N's to accept the vent line.

Here's a pic of one.
