No doubt. Yet another reason on the list of many why I will NEVER own a boat that sits in the water. I just simply refuse to pay the on-water prices, no way no how.

Odd part is, fuel on land is within a few pennies all the way from Perryville/Port Deposit, to Elkton, Chesapeake City and right in Cecilton. I wonder why it is that those Sassafras Marinas are charging so much.......?

Just got off the phone with Baltimore Yacht Club on Middle River at Sue Creek, $4.599, 89 octane.

Show them your Boats US card and get 10 cents off that. They pump Citgo branded gas and have the Citgo logo signage. Use your Citgo charge card and get a 3% rebate.

Final price is $4.364 using both cards.

Yes its tough owning a boat. I was thinking about putting mine in a high and dry this year instead of a new trailer and after going over all the ins and outs of service and gas i could'nt afford the boat .LOL so i bought a new trailer.plus i get a great discount from my local mechanic :winker:

Not sure about Knapps landing. Honestly I havent even looked at the prices on the water because I fill up on the trailer. I am having all sorts of trouble getting my trailer registered so I cant use the Birdseye launch ramp...I have to trailer to Norwalk where you dont need trailer reg to launch. I have been boating in the Fairfield-Stamford area. I think i may be good to go in Stratford this week though.

Gladhe8er you have to possibility of saving almost $50 launching in Stratford between the truck gas and the long long ride out of Norwalk. I boated out of Fairfield all my life until last year. Now with a bigger boat I get to go places and use more gas. :dead:

I would probably spend more money in gas launching out of Stratford because I end up at Cockonoe Island in Westport pretty much every Saturday and Sunday. I am looking forward to exploring the river in Stratford though. I am friends with one of the watercop's and he is going to show me around once I get that launch pass. I hear there are some areas you have to watch out for the farther up you go.
