For us in the Midwest boating season is just around the corner. Just in the nick of time to get boned in the ass by the oil companies.Right after I purchased more fuel burning accessories for the boat.Looks like it is starting now. Advertisement for the oil companies sholb be a poster of the American public bent over grabbing their ankles. Sorry just venting.

Whats the fuel price in your area.

Prices are climbing here but not that fast. Bear in mind that, after adjusting for inflation, this winters prices were about as low as we have ever seen. A good portion of that price is tax after all. Do you have any idea what it costs to build and run a typical gas station these days? You have to sell a mess of gas making .09/ gallon to pay back a 750,000.00 investment and keep up with government mandated upgrades, record keeping requirements, OUTRAGEOUS insurance premiums and on and on and on it goes. Bottom line, there is plenty of blame to go around. Price is controlled by OPEC, the oil companies and the State and Federal governments. Before you accuse the oil companies make sure that IS who is to blame this time.

Northern Maryland/Pa Border...

Two weeks ago 1.07

Today 1.22

The explanation is that all of the refineries and changing their blend from oxygenated to summer blend and summer blend costs more to produce. There was an article on TV the other night...

or...

it's all just a big lie!

laster, I hear ya. But whoever is to blame it is still bullshit. Why is it when gas goes down it is .02-.03 cents per gallon, and when it goes up it is .10-.25 dents a gallon. As far as the cost for owning a gas station, boo hoo,my guess is there must be enough profit in it or they would not be putting up so many.Maybee their profits are from the quick marts ? I never stated it was the gas stations, but lets face it after the 911 incident (at least here) gas stations were charging $4.00 a gallon until the state stepped in.You are right, there is PLENTY of blame to go around.

Bottom line, the AMERICAN public still gets it stuck in the ass.

It never fails. When the weather gets nice(you want to travel) gas prices go up. When the weather gets shitty(you don't want to travel) gas prices go down ??? Too bad gas wouldn't stay stable for a longer period of time. Load up the tanker in winter.

I burn nothing but premium. Today it would cost me 1.55gallon. Mid winter I could've got for 1.29gallon.

What are we going to do ?? I'm not going to give up my boat or truck ?? .................... Just keep paying !

12 days ago the price for regular was $1.01 and this Monday I saw a local 7-11 asking $1.31. I can't believe the price jumped thirty cents in one week.
Just up the street from there I paid 1.24 for Mobile regular.
Better, but still too damn high.
