Explain this----- PILOT picks up their unleaded gas at a BP distribution center, delivers it 10 miles to their truck stop and sells it for $1.44- $1.47/gal.

BP picks up the same unleaded petrol at the same distribution center and the BP stations around the city are selling it for around $1.65/gal

Other grades are sold at the same reduced prices.

I would like to believe it is sold as a loss leader to bring in customers but this is a high volume truck stop---

Nothing wrong here!!! :(

I have spoken to an owner of a chain of gas stations. Each individual shop sets the price. If one raised the price, they all follow suit.

I am sure that traded fuel has some effect on the $ but not for it to jump so high so quickly.

Seems like every winter the gas prices go up because it got cold in New England and they had to make fuel oil to heat with. My question to the refineries is why they haven't been able to figure out that it gets cold every winter in New England. So much for Global Warming.

We can make a positive out of high prices... more time sitting anchored or on the beach enjoying an adult beverage and the views!!! Of course, I think, what the hell, we only live once and we can't take the money to the grave, so spend it while we can!!!

$1.79 Regular

$1.89 Mid-grade :dontdoit:

$1.99 Premium :freak1:

They have been hosing us in the Chicago area for as long as I can remember.

They have refineries in the local metropolitan area yet you can go to the middle of nowhere USA, where it is trucked in and pay 50-60 cents a gallon less
