Just the same stuff as any other boat. Something I have noticed on Checkmates is they tend to overlook certain parts in glassing bulkheads, floors, etc. Just check everything over, then check it over again. Don't let the excitement of a new boat rush you.
Depending on how big the check for the Check is, a survey would be in order. Just some of the lessons I learned the hard way...
isnt that still the wood floor era for Checks'?? i would definitly look for ANY softspots int he floor.. IIRC, when you find wet or soft floors, dont be shocked to find the stringers wet too!! It weeps from the wet floor around the fasteners and into the wood of the stringers..
whatch for water on the steer arm, if its on the steer arm its the uppper shaft in there quite a job, I missed it with mine thinking it was the bellows, big mistake
