Ken, A friend with a laser cutter. That is a friend that you need to keep, via many beer purchases!!!!

If you do intend to polish the SS, I do recommend powder coating them clear to retain that "just buffed" look. Will protect the panels from scratch's too. If you just happened to drop something on it, the PC will give you that extra measure of protection. Hey, if it scratch's the surface, you can always strip the PC and have it re-coated. Better then a gash in your panel. Course, you are using SS and that in itself is a pretty hard surface.

Was also considering just buffing the panels out and PC them clear, but decided on having them painted. Good Luck on your dash project. Post some pics on the completed product.

I hear ya, its nice to know people with great skills! LOL

I will keep you posted. I am considering the painted look still. The panels shown are just mock ups out of aluminum, but I will be doing it in the stainless and having thses aluminum panels painted over next winter and see what kind of graphic we can come up with!

I have the same sort of buddy up here too. Anybody in the NH area I will see if he'll do this for outside people.

Oh - he's a boater too. He went from a Scarab Panther to this.

BTW: sunsation98 - your inspiring me to make a move too. Looks good.
