I have a bunch of buddies that do. MattBmiller here has a ford superduty that runs pretty hard. I have a few buddies with some mean cummins and a few others with some mean duramaxes, diesels are cool, but too damned expensive.
I have a 01 Dodge Cummings Drw, Supper B turbo 180hp injectors edge juice the vp 44 hot pump 4" exhaust with bald back tires. :D
mine is stock,,
too many horror stories of idiots with blown up diesels to mess with it.
I bought it to work,if I need to go fast I have a lot faster cars than my truck..
:laugher: :laugher:
'05 GMC Crew with Duramax LLY/Allison. EFI live tune, Downpipe back Magnaflow 4", Airaid Intake, BD drivers side manifold with EGT. Shim mod on regulator, 37" Tires with 4.56 Gears. It's cool to smoke big ole tires! :D

I bought mine for work too... said I was going to keep it stock, but that lasted about 5,000 miles. I know what you are saying though, alot of people are nuts and run their trucks on "kill", the're always in the shop. Banks is very safe, it is more money than others but I think it is worth it, I just don't run it in high settings when towing, this truck sees 10k+ behind it on a regular basis. I've got 66,000 miles and have never had a problem at all........so far.

what is this shim mod you are talking about?
Got rid of this monster a while back, looking to build another. Ran mid 11's on the strip. DOn't have any pics of it completed on this computer...

You put a shim (washer) under the spring in the Fuel Presure regulator and it helps prevent bursting or starvation at higher RPM's and with added fuel from programing or an aggressive programer.

I put about 30k a year on mine, has close to 300k now.
All its ever needed is oil changes and a battery now and then.
pulls [email protected] on highway. Its like the trutle in the rabbit-turtle race, its slow but it always gets there!
:D :D
