What do you have as a tow vehicle? You don't need to consider a very big boat if you have a 1/2 ton truck :)

I think a perfect first boat would be in the 28'-35' range(being 28' Pantera etc up to a 35' Fountain/Formula) A boat this size is big enough to handle just about anything and once you learn how to drive the boat well you may not want to go any bigger.
I would agree, and say 28' is as big as you want to go for a first. AND, I just happen to know of a few 28 pantera's for sale, both twin Big Blocks, one is a '99 twin 502 EFI(TimG's boat), the other is an older one, but the price is right, twin BIG MOTORS(maybe blowers), not exactly sure what they are yet, since I was just given the "heads up" by the salesman last night.

Best to talk to the spouse and see what she wants...

Good one Mosi,

Lemme tell ya's a little story.......

My Girlfriend seems to think that around the time I get a New Boat, she will get a ring   , I dont get it, But when I showed her the pics of the 28 Pantera with Twin Blower Motors last night, she said "Very Nice", then she started skipping around the house singing something about Rick getting a new boat, and her getting married

Took me a while to figure this one out, but guess what...................................

I am not getting a new boat :D :D :D :D

That'll fix her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Hey, no big deal man...
I'm showing this 46 to a customer tomorrow.
He had a 25' cuddy boat about 10 years ago...
Hey Tim,

Yeah, I saw the pics, looks nice, But I am afraid of the Oldness, and Bigness(of the engines), I might be able to swing payments, But you know as well as I do, thats just the beginning................

FUEL$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Insurance(South FL)$$$$$$$$$$$$

Repairs/Maintenance$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'll get there one of these days, but right now a 24 single, or egg beater boat is more logical for me.

If you can get away from the outlaws at all, Come on Up, I am planning on Having a BarBq at some point this weekend(probably Sunday afternoon), Jay, Julie, and some of Jen's friends. Gimme a call if you can get away.

Just like when you are flying in an airplane... " In the event of an emergency and the oxygen masks deploy, and you are flying with a dependent child... PLACE THE OXYGEN MASK ON YOURSELF FIRST !.... then place the mask on the child... you can't help the child if you pass out .".. Well the same is true in life... DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY FIRST.... Order of priorities... Get the new boat... if the girlfriend :dead: gives you too much grief and demands "indentured servitude" uhhhhhh.. I mean marriage.... Dump the girlfriend... with the new boat.... you can always attract another blood sucker... uhhhh... I mean girlfriend...... :dead:
Yeah, I Know,

Believe me, if I was Sold on the boat, I would "CONVINCE" Her. As I posted a little later, its not the boat for me anyway, I showed her what I "REALLY" Want when we were in Marathon for the race a few weeks back, she approved, Now I just need to sell my current boat, save a few more $$, and convince her to go 2 feet bigger :D :D
