I've been shoping around for a boat for years, sort of waiting for a great deal.... I stumbeled across a 26' Celebrity Andretti with twin 270 hp 350 mag's. Website says it'll do around 65 mph. My question is if I modify the engines to around 350 hp each or maybe 400 hp each (yes, i know i'll break my drives...) what sort of mph could I expect? I don't even own the boat, I'm just day dreaming. Can ya help me out! Thanks guys!

That Donzi isn't a 70mph boat, it's a 85+mph boat!

But, like I have said before, boats get MUCH more difficult to drive when trimming it out for that last 2-3mph. If you take your time and learn the boat you will be fine. I'm betting that thing "cruises" at 70+ with neutral trim.
Very true. When my boat went 55 it was scarier at full positive trim to eke out that last 1-2 mph than it is now running in the upper 60's and just moderately trimmed out. Now when I run 70-72 it can get a little squirrely. It is always that last little bit. I'm maybe going to do some tweaking and get it to top out at 73-75 so that 70 will not require quite as much trim angle.

Don't you know how to drive that thing yet? When it porpoises in a turn you need to trim it down! :laugher:

My U19 would chine walk if I didn't constantly "bump" the steering every few seconds. If I just let it go it would walk like crazy.

Trimming down is for sissy's :D :laugher:

All my parents neighbors think my boat is out of control half the time, the lake is kinda short, so sometimes I really nut it fully trimmed coming out of the end of the lake to have as much speed as possible entering the straightaway, the boat comes out of there all of the place, I love it. :D
