I'd never trust a hull repair if in the rough, but good for engines and parts.

 

Thats a whole lot of fiberglass work... Electronics and engine sound good though... no way are they getting 50k for it

 

That was a great boat.

 

Anything is repairable with enough patience and $$$. Just don`t know if it is economically feasible.

I have no idea as to repair cost, but it won`t be cheap.

 

a strong repair can be made, but donman hit it on the head, can it be made and still be economically feasible.

 

Thats the kind if boat a good glass shop could buy, fix, and resell to make some coin if the price was right.

That place could fix it no problem, I wonder how the 302 Scarab floor on their website got so bad?

The fact that it is an Intrepid makes it feasible too, doesnt get any better than an Intrepid.

 

I have done fountains in worse shape then that , i made a splash off another boat and the rest is history . I did a boat over 15 years ago and the clipper bow is still rock solid . I guess you might want to do some home work and find out what the true value of the boat would have been before it got this way .

 

I know they say $50k is the min bid, they they're smoking crack if they think anyone will make that kind of offer.

I really doubt they would even consider an offer for less than the $50,000 their asking as an opening bid.. opc1

Just thinking the engines alone are worth that even with a damaged lower.., then add in the trailer, & yada yada..that would be such a sweet deal..

It can definitely be repaired, and rest assured, someone will definitely fixed it up..I've seen much worse than that up here get patched up from hurricane damage before..,
