Toshiba announced they were giving up on HD months ago.....I was shopping players then and that was the deciding factor....Blue Ray. (I believe it was Toshiba who invented HD?)

yes but RedRay is coming out in November, Your Blue Ray will not play all aspects of RedRay discs.

The technology is more condensed and have three layered videos per disc. Blue Ray Players can only play one layered discs.

Come on now, you know thats typical of the industry, when sombody releases something "New" you know damn well they are already working on making it obsolete!
