Agree!!! But unfortunately some States won't even let you launch your boat from the ramp if your boat doesn't have mufflers or has switchable exhaust. :unhappy1:SweetEmotion said:Ta hell with mufflers and turndowns KEEP IT LOUD :4gears:
i dont see any issues as of yet, can still get the rpms up to the same as before, speed is still there and no temp diffrence on the gaugesSweetEmotion said:Yeah I just got busted on the water for too much noise, scored a 95 dbls. :angry1: The law is 90dbl. Im looking at inserts too. Im worried about back pressure though, is that an issue or not? Ive got a 454mag 420hp.
I ran thoughs before they took the bark out of the sound of the motor and a little power on top end. It did feel like it had a little more low end power. My wife hated it and made me take them off. Now I have switched the firing order and the boat sounds almost the same as it did running mufflerschimchim said:im running a set of inserts in my CMIs and it toned it down quite a bit, and you can see them up inside so the boy in blue at the launch wont give ya a hard time.
it still has a good rumble and is loud on plane but much better than it was 600hp w/dry cmis
