My red magnum 60 isn’t fast enough
Hi everyone.
I have a magnum 60 with MTU Detroit diésel series 2000 v16 M-90 engines of 1850 horsepower.
The propulsion system is the Arneson ADS-14. The problem is that we did not get the boat to reach the maximum speed that its first records had when it was manufactured.
She has had a complete rebuild of the engines, and they have the same propellers she had from the factory.
I have looked at the files of the first sea trials they did and the boat managed to reach 57 knots.
Now the maximum speed I have reached has been 48 knots, I am a bit confused because I don't know how to get them to reach more speed.
The hull is completely clean and painted with the patent and the propellers too.
The engine reaches 2200 revolutions which is supposedly what she needed to reach 57 knots.
The only thing that I see that is not correct is the rooster tail that is very messy and I notice that it is open and does not rise up.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing her to not reach top speed?
