hello everyone,

i sold the goose today. it has been in the works for 3 months now. the new owner will take over feb 1st. so i am still doing the DEEP FREEZE PARTY. at which time i will introduce the new owner.
i was going to wait til then to post this. jeff jennings has been working with me on this and we thought it best to put rumors to rest.

the new owners own and operate 3 very popular places in philly called COPA BANANAS and BILLY BOBS.

they have shown butch and i plans to remodel the place.
making it far better then what it is now. and CLEANER !!!

they are all about boating and will fit in with the crowd that comes there.

this is the first time i sold a restaurant and liked the new owners.

as for me, i will be around. i will miss everyone that made my business great. i thank all of you for your past support.

thank you, tony covatta

That's what I meant by "Interesting People" were at the Goose on Thursday.

I for one am very happy for you Tony. I'm also happy for all the boaters.

I met these guys last week. The certainly talk a good game.
It sounds like their gonna give the Goose the shot in the arm it needs.
Without losing it's character (hopefully).

Change is good - I choose to look at it positively.

BUT - Next Saturday's party is the LAST of the Covatta parties - let's tear the place down !!! :D :D :D

Comments like that make it sound like you may be part of the new business................. :popc1
nope. just a grateful patron like everyone else.

I consider myself very fortunate to have a great marina, a great ramp and a great restaurant and a great body of water so close to home and great friends to boat with every weekend.

I'm sure when Tony visits the Goose or whatever it's future name might be, he'll never have to buy his own drinks. I for one will buy him drinks and I know there are hundreds more just like me that will always treasure everything Tony has done for power boating on the north end of the bay.

I know pretty touching... I had my eyes water a little too..

But he is right... WE all met through boating, Anchor Boats, and the nauti-goose...

I talked to tony and We plan on pulling up to the goose on our boat next year... It will be alot of fun to enjoy tony and his Wife... Not always disapearing to make sure his friends are being treated great and there food is being prepared perfect....

I think it will be a good thing... Maybe like old days Hanging on the Deck next to the ramp... We had A LOT of fun back then... Throwing burgers in Jeff Justices boat at 2am... Watching Joel Soak Butch one night in his 27 Fountain...

A lot of laughs still to come!!

Thanks Tony for all the great Memeories....
WE wish you the best!!
