I am getting closer by the day to getting a new (to me) ride and I wanted to get your guys thoughts on this. I don't know much about AT. It is on the other site and didn't know if it is within the rules to post that link here but here are the details.

1991 32' Active Thunder
Twin 465/502's w/ 442/441 hrs. Bravo 1 drives. K-planes, stainless marine exhaust. Tons of new work/parts.

Thanks
Brian

Survey Says.................

Ask about this boat on oso, think I read somewhere the rear stringers were cut to mount motors in.
Looks to be alot of boat for the money though.

It would be a wave crusher, or on Oneida a "Wake"crusher!!

OSO member "chuckbeecher" owned a boat identical to it. He can give you some insight on performance.

The 32AT is absolutely one of the BEST rough water handling boats in the sub-40-footer arena. You will love that boat, and just wait until you get some 3-4s.

FYI, I had to have the transom, stringers and floor all rebuilt/reconstructed in my boat back in about -2002-2003. I only live about 20 miles away from the Skater factory in Douglas, MI so we purchased all of the product we needed for the project from there. Prior to doing all of this I popped a stringer coming down on a wave and found water leaking thru a K-plane bolt hole and the floor of the engine compartment was delaminating/seperating from the core. She's all dry and solid now! We beefed her up pretty good---better than what it came from the old factory in Chicago.

Anyway, I wonder if they put some glass over that cut stringer after they cut into it???---otherwise, it will act like a big spunge for water---and that stringer being cut to make room for the motor mount would make me a little nervous knowing what I know now! :slam:

Well I know nothing about it but it sure is purdy.

I keep reading on oso that it went for a good price. How much did it go for. One of these days I would like to get a larger boat. It will probably be a fixer upper. Something like that with nice lines but old enough to be affordable would be right up my alley.... Provided its somewhat solid.....
