I thought you all would like to see pics. of a new Pantera 28' we finished powered with twin Mercury 300 XS Optimax outboards. We did the "extended " cockpit option.

Outboards were mounted on a Stainless Marine bracket with a complete Zieger full hydraulic race steering.

Awesome acceleration and performance. Our customer likes the old school look for graphics.

Merry Christmas,

We mounted a water tank with transom shower, anchor, dual custom race battery boxes, smooth awl grip painted finish, 2 high capacity bilge pumps, etc. etc.

Stringers for the outboard set up are taller on the transom for extra re-inforcement.

Nice Boat Jo,

I like the way you did the knees on the transom. I will be redoing my transom soon, and will use your idea.

Sweeeet. I like the old look also..

Question?? Wouldn't it have more stability if the OBs were mounted farther apart??
Only following what I have read about placement of OB's farther apart as in with Cat hulls. The motors are spaced apart and behind the sponsons only for protection, and with a V-hull you want them behind the lowest point on the water, so closer to the middle the better... NOW farther back is a different story!!!
