Many Thanks for Mr. Pete Mazzo, his wife Debbi and Dave Patnaude for inviting me down to participate in the NJPPC A/C Poker Run to raise money for Shore Dream for Kids. I contribute to Shore Dream for Kids every year with some of the proceeds from Rock The Bay and will be attending Shore Dream for Kids this year with my OL and giving handicapped kids rides.

Pete invited Karen and I up to his weekend home on the bay on Toms River and although Karen could not make the ride fo A/C on Friday afternoon she joined us friday night at Trump Marina for their party and was with us when Pete and I in his 47' Outerlimits and three other 47' Outerlimits made a 80 to 100 mph ocean run from A/C to Toms River yesterday afternoon. It was a real treat for both of us.

Mike Fiore was there with one of his brand new boats eqiupped to 700 SC's and NXT drives capable to speeds over 120 mph.

The guys from OL were great with their support team and trailer, especially when we blew a water hose 5 miles into the run in Barnegat Bay in windy and choppy conditions friday afternoon.

With items donated to their Chinese Auction and special items donated for the live auction saturday night, they raiser over $10,000 for Shore Dream for Kids.

The Rock The Bay entry auctioned off set a new record for a single item auctioned off at one of their events bringing $925 and was won by Dave Gindrida with his new 50' triple engned Nortech V - 'No Compromise'.

We left the Lobster Shanty in Toms River at about 11:30 am on Friday morning and made the run to A/C - there were two groups - an inside run group and an offshore group. I counted about 50 boats for the run.

Speed Racer was there and will also be at Thunder on the Bay this year along with some very cool new boats from Outer Limits and Hustler with their new 40' "Rockit" boat.

thanks again to everyone!

Jeanine looks like she's saying "Frank, tell this guy to get his hands off of me before I back-kick him in the groin." :D
I wanted to say thanks to Pete and Debbie, too, and all of the great people we met at the event... it was an awesome time for a great cause! :vcol:
