Removing overspray from gelcoat??

any ideas? the moron b4 me tried touching up the drive and tabs with out masking anything off so there is some overspray on the transom

If it's just spray enamel...maybe start with mineral spirits, then enamel reducer if needed.

Is that why you were asking me what color my trim tabs were? They're black (but weren't painted that way), at least not while attached to the boat

I would think worst case would be to wetsand and buff. Im sure that will get it off
Clay bar should work. They touched up my swim platform and got a little on my boat and it worked for me
not ot sound like a idiot but whats a clay bar, tried acetone didnt work

yes, i was pretty sure but just wanted to make sure, the guy must have touched it up but was too lazy to tape anything off :angry1:
I have used something called M.E.K. similar to aceatone.
MethylEthylKeytone...didn't even know you could get that stuff anymore. Nasty stuff. I thought it was banned as cancer causing...?
You can buy the clay bar at any auto paint store. It is really just like a bar of clay and ou rub it in and it takes over overspray
