Took the boat out this weekend and finally got ahold of a portable tach to compare against the factory one. As I thought, the fact. one was high by about 250 rpms. So, that brought the wide open rpm to right at 4700 with a 3 blade 14 1/4 X 20 pitch.
All that being said, could I step up to a 4 blade 21 pitch? Still wanting a little more speed, without having a prob. planing out..top was around 53-54.
Oh, by the way, I have a 96 Bryant 192 with a 350 and an Alpha One.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
