first I've heard of this, here's my problem: how do we know it's chinese? can we prove it is? what does China have to gain by sending one missle to CA and then looking like idiots for not even hitting anything? until then it's pretty much in the same category as a UFO, nothing more then a video clip. heck it could have been a rocket launched in a Mythbusters experiment that went astray...I don't know seems like a heck of alot of conspiracy based off a singular event.

I saw the clips when they were originally shown on the TV news and thoroughly convinced it was a missle launch. I've seen thousands of contrails and a few shuttle launches from a distance and this did not look like any contrail I have ever seen.

Whether or not it was Chinese I won't speculate on, but someone was making a political statement.

Another thought is that it could have been a U.S. Navy operation to see if a sub could get through the defences and launch a missle. This is just a thought.
