Here is the project of one of the oldes Magnums left getting rebuilt with a new Starfire deck and rigged with all the latest equipment. It is a Kevlar hull with all new everthing, new deck, engine hatch, still working on the back seat. She will be raced in Production outlaw as soon as she is finished. It is to be painted black with white and red interior. It has also be converted to a single I.T.S. Bravo setup. :pirate: :pirate: :pirate:

She is one of the last Magnums that Don Arnow built before selling the company in 69. It is actually a late 68 model hull. But to this day, they have not ever changed the design of it a bit. Plus the transom, stringers, floors, bulkheads, all in the hull are new, Plus it being a Kevlar hull, it is still stronger than most boats out there today. The deck on the other hand is a 2003 model. The first Magnum has made in a long, long time. It was formally the team Deranged race boat that won 2001 National championship for P5. Magnum is offering the starfire again for F1 racing but I just wanted the deck.

looks like your doing a great job restoring that classic piece of boat history.
A good friend has a 27 Magnum that he has been working on in his free time which probably like all of us is'nt very much. It's ready for engines and other rigging and final prep and paint. Not sure when tha will be but he's doing a nice job so far.
Im going to ask him what year and other stuff about his Mag. Im a fan of Arnow's boats read his book with great interest. Let you know maybe you guys should talk, he's a service tech at a Wellcraft dealer and always going to school for updates on Merc stuff. :)
