If the flappers are cone in your tips, what kind of problems can occur. I know mine are gone, and so far all seems ok.
That shouldn't help aid in any reversion problems????

1boatnut, I would just becareful coming of of plane. If they are the ones just inside the tips that look like a wedge, higned in the middle. I beleive they prevent water from running up into your exhaust and finnaly to the engine. get some salisbary flaps (the balck rubber ones) and that should help.
