I have not been to a scale I know the boat is about 3800Lbs Empty + gas, cooler, BEER, rope's and anker, I would have to say at least 4600Lbs jest my??.:chase:

 

Our 1997 Baja 272 shows 4350 lbs as dry weight, I also believe that was with a small block. Trailer and all I have to believe towed weight is about 6,500 lbs.

Need to get to a scale someday just out of curiosity.

 

I have a 29 Outlaw, dry weight is supposed to be about 6800 w/twins but I've never had it across a scale on the trailer. Has anybody weighed one? I'm curious what it does weigh.

a 29 outlaw loaded to the gills with twins and fuel topped off on 3 axle probably in and around 9000-9500 with gear!!!
My boat dry weight is 7300
6 lbs per gallon of fuel I think is what gas weighs
200 gallons
1200 lbs
trailer triple axle steel with full size spare 36 feet long, about 1800-2000 lbs
plus lines, soda's and food, bumpers, life vests, first aid kit, flares, water blah blah blah
starts to add up quick
extra props, TOOLS
jumper cables ect
man I might even be over 10 K lbs

I guestimate mine to be between 12,000 and 14,000 lbs full on the trailer.

Be thankful you dont have one of the older early,mid 34 Scarab III's
I heard they were MUCH heavier than the newer ones, excels and stuff
I think if my memory serves me right
dry the mid 80's scarab III was ballparked around 11500-12000 dry weight?
that sound right?
bet ride was more comfortable than any other boat out there but man a 1 ton with that thing on the back full with fuel and stuff must have hurt!

Was talking with Ike, (reason I posted this thread)
He said to me fully loaded on trailer with full fuel, his 41 apache is tipping the scales at 17000 lbs
so if a 38 TG is 13000 loaded, that is really REALLY light!
His 50 foot Myco tri axle trailer with drive guard is about 3500 lbs or so.

Gee, I feel out classed.
Mine with trailer only weighs around 5000. But then mine is only 21'.
3200 for the boat, 1000+/- for the trailer and fuel (45gal), cooler, etc.

 

26' Scarab 4,600 lbs with fuel and the trailer is about another 1,500 lbs

 

Jay---I intensionally bought the newer model. I did a lot of research on the boat. I knew what I wanted and was lucky to find just the right boat. The price was right also.

 

Formula 272 5788 dry , aluminum tandem trailer 1000/1200? , 130 gallons gas 1000 , + misc B.S. = around 8000lbs.

Griff, that's a really good looking boat. Karen and I love the looks of Pantera's and Jo really builds a great boat. There are a few locally and we always love to see them in the water...
