Hey I found a guy online who sells marine vinyl. I had him send me a sample and it seems to be pretty tough stuff.

It comes with a 1/4" foam backing. Is typical for a marine vinyl. I have some extra laying around my house from another project way back when and it doesnt have the foam backing. I even think this stuff came straight from baja.

do you think the foam backing will cause any issues. good or bad

thanks

depends on where you want to use it. on a hard surface it is great, on a padded surface it is no good as most padded surfaces like a sun pad the padding is wrapped in plastic and it will trap water and rot from the inside out. just my .02 worth as I have been doing a lot of interior work latley anrd this what I see all manufacturers doing to protect the padding from absorbing water

gotcha. goood point.
The foam-backed vinyl is usually used when you are doing pleats for seats, etc.
