My VW touareg is rated at around 7000 lbs towing cap!!

My cousin (well, cousins wife) has the Cayenne and says it pulled his 4 sled enclosed trailer better than his Escalade did!

But that pic does look like a BMW. Don't know what they pull.

Wow! I had no idea those smaller suv's were rated that high.

Well the Porshe and VW platform is. I don't know about the others.

I don`t care what the freakin mfg towing capacity says, you`ll NEVER catch me towing anything with a mid-size anything ! Sure, it will PULL it, but how about STOPPING it ???
I agree with FTM 100%. I drive a FULL SIZE truck, 3/4 ton, 4x4 crew cab diesel everyday. I know I am safer while I`m plowing down the road at 75 mph. Sure, your Ford Focus or Mitsubishi Galant or Hyundai whatever probably gets better mileage, but what`s your life worth ?
Don`t complain that these big SUV`s and trucks will kill you if you run into one. Go out and buy a real AMERICAN vehicle made with real AMERICAN steel....

As I stated before, my VW weighs in at 5000 lbs! Same as a frigin 1/2 ton pickup, with better brakes.

Not comparing the VW with a 3/4 ton. only a 1/2 ton.
