I need the same exact thing for my boat. My wife's been bugging me for years to do something different than the flip down step

 

I'm watching this too. I don't have a swim ladder and must step on the outdrive :dead: :dead:

Makes me a little nervous when you have a blade like this:

 

Personally, I would look at the aquastep. It is spring loaded and self retracting. Just pull it down, step up and then when you take your foot off, it comes back up. No more worring about the ladder being down or trying to put the strap on the ladder. I would like to replace my ladder with one.
