That is awesome. I thought of doing the to my 211 except use V6s before I replaced my 460 with a 540.
I liked the extra room in the cockpit and the twin power but chickened out when thinking about possible handling or balance problems. Plus I couldn't justify the cost when comparing to larger (already twns) boats :( .
I would like to know how it runs too.

My boat is exactally like the one Sunsation 98 has pictured 261 RED/BLACK except 350's and alphas. Mine also has those strange bolsters that look like they belong on the space shuttle :laugher: comfortable though and power. I think they were on 88/89's Glad to see that there are some out there. Not too many 261's in my neck of the woods. Haven't heard anything bad from any one that has owned one, except they are a little heavy. to be expected from a old style boat. I am building two conceritive sm blocks around 330 hp I would like to get into the low 60's or high 50's with this boat. any Idea what it should run? trying to be realistic with it and be relyable/ budgetable. :D

They are nice boats. I have an 85 211 with a 350 and an alpha. Nice boat for the money. It's for sale though. Time to move up!!!

My 92 251 is the same as a 251 but with a single BB instead of twin SB's. I had the newer looking euro dash as well. I have some more pics I'll post. With a single stock 454 (probably 310hp) it ran a very best of 54mph turning a 19 pitch Mercury Rev4. The boat really liked the lift of the Rev4. The hull has some hook built into it that probably ocsts some speed.

The boat ran a little faster with the hatch cracked so I added some fresh air intakes that drew air from the cockpit area. When we would spend the night on the boat with the cockpit cover on it, I would turn on the bilge blower and crack open the hatch in the cuddy. It acted like a whole house fan sucking air out the bilge and drawing it in through the hatch right over the bed.

12 year old sunpad. This boat held up fantastically. If anyone is intersted, it has fresh power and "may" be available. You would have to ask Obnoxious as it is sitting at his shop.

That was my helper above Brody. He helped plane off the teak swim deck and refinish it. A new cover and trailer and the whole package would have been like new

My buddy has an '86 21 Liberator. His originally came with a 350 but at sometime in its life it got a 454. He claims it runs almost 80 although I've never personally seen it.

As far as I can tell, the Liberator was a competitor to the Pachanga. It has far more free board and a much larger cabin, but I wouldn't trade my P22 for one.

That's not to say that I don't think they're nice boats because I do; I just like mine better. :p:
