I'm supposed to be snowmobiling in the Adirondacks, (Old Forge, NY) this weekend. Problem is they have no snow, and it's not looking like they will be getting any before then.

Is there anywhere that has snow? Michigan? Wisconsin?

I haven`t seen any accumalations this winter here in Texas, but we did "officially" get some snow ( flurries ) back in November.
It is 54 right now, at 8 am. Supposed to hit upper 60`s today ( cold front coming in after lunch.... brrrrrrrr ). :D :D

Talked to a friend that rode yesterday up on tug hill said it was a little bare towards redfeild but up top was much better, little bumpy and as it got colder the sleds were heating up because of lack of cooling snow, All in all it wasn't to bad though, I was goning to be doing the Nascar ZIPPYS charity ride this weekend I guess we will wait and see what happens. Think SNOW

We have maybe an inch on the ground. Businesses are hurting! We are suppose to get 3-6 tonight but they are never right.
Hurting bad.

The manufacturer's sales where down 50% last year.

If this year is the same (looks like it or worse) the industry is going to be very different next year. :dead: :dead:

BTW: I know, hotels, motels, rest's, etc, etc are taking a beating too. We have towns (such as you I'm sure) who have only 1 big industry - snowmobiling. Man O man.

Mother nature is pissed !!!

Rainiest year last year for us. Cut down major on boating.

No freakin' snow this winter. Lake is mostly open other than my area.

Guaranteed snow places have little to no snow.

Hurricanes.

Drought.

Excessive rain.

etc,etc,etc.

Anybody know how to reach Mother Nature ? Maybe wwe can make a deal or something ? :dead: :dead:

Lake Norman. Do they get affected by droughts? I too was thinking about this but saw what happened to some of the lakes in the Carolinas during the drought, not long ago. Lake levels dropping by 8 feet or more.
